I drove up to Yachats hoping to shoot some moving clouds using my ND filter but found the clouds weren't moving much but boy the surf was! I thought this worked nicely on black but will probably post some shots in color as well. Best on black. I thought the fishing boat on the horizon must have had a pretty dangerous crossing of the bar to get out there.
Your response to the two photos of Pearl have gone to her head a bit. She is prancing around as if she were a queen bee! (Of course she is to me). Thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs
Stunning capture, love the spray the wind is causing on the waves. My daughter bought me a Gloxy Nd 2-400 filter for Christmas, I still don't know what to do with it ;-)
Splendid photo! Love the layers and the two sets of wave action. It has so many layers it could nearly be used to produce two lovely individual images. :)
Great layers, but I found the sky a little boring! in my opinion (and not saying my opinion is correct) concentrating the eye on the crashing waves both in the fore and background makes for a more interesting shot.
@jgpittenger I would love and appreciate that Jane, I googled a bit, but it does not really help me. In case you would like to mail me some ideas, ludwigsdiana3@gmail.com Thanks so much for the offer :-)
Ha ha, good for Pearl!
And I am with @ukandie1 on this one - absolutely love those crashing waves but not the sky. Really enjoying your experiments with the ND. Must get out there when I can and try mine out.
