Kingfisher Taking Off by jgpittenger

Kingfisher Taking Off

One of the shots on my photography bucket list is a belted kingfisher. I was peddling my kayak and heard one. The only camera I had with me was a bridge camera that doesn't handle high ISO well and doesn't have enough pixels to crop severely, but the best camera is the one you have with you! Given that, I'm pretty happy.
Thanks so much for taking my Sisters sunset shot to the TT this week. That made me very happy. And thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs
looks like you know where to kayak back to with your best camera as they are territorial. how exciting to see this one!

So this one is the Belted Kingfisher - you can cross him off your list? No wonder you were pleased to catch this lovely action shot of him. :)

Its a wonderful bird-in-motion capture but I see what you mean about the graininess. I have had success with wildlife but haven't tried birds in motion yet with that camera.
