Watson Falls

We have been to most of the waterfalls on the waterfall loop before but never Watson Falls. It is quite a steep hike and I guess other times we’ve been tired already from going up to the other falls and skipped Watson. I’m glad we went up to it this year despite the awkwardness of handling Black Pearl on a leash, a walking stick, and my camera and tripod. Thanks you Sherpa Jim for your help. The waterfall was awesome and worth the hike.
Thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs

I really like your choice of shutter speed to get this water flow. The water is so powerful I can almost hear it.

Jane I'm thinking about switching over to a mirrorless camera and wondered what you think of your Sony?

@radiogirl I love it. I’ve been using the A7R 4 in crop mode sometimes to extend the reach of my 100-400 lens and there are so many pixels that even when I crop severely the shot looks pretty good. The only thing I don’t like about it is that with so many pixels, there is more noise at high ISOs which isn’t good for shooting stars. It’s sharp, quick to focus, good dynamic range. It doesn’t weigh as much less than my full frame Nikon 810 as I would have liked but I really like it. Pretty steep learning curve at first

@jgpittenger Thank you for your input, I was actually looking at the Panasonic Lumix G9, I wanted something lighter to carry around but fast and sharp enough to capture birds in flight.

@radiogirl I’ve heard the olympus is good

@jgpittenger Thanks Jane I will check out the Olympus as well.
It is such a big decision and Investment to move to Mirrorless and learning curve, I want to make the right decision for me.
Your Sony camera sounds amazing but way more then I want to spend, l love your photos!
