Best on black. I have a new toy but I really don't know how to use it yet. It is a "move shoot move" star tracker. I went to the outlet last night for an incredibly gorgeous night full of stars. The tide was lower than I would have liked but had enough water to reflect the Milky Way. The new toy adds all sorts of knobs to turn to adjust the tracker and the camera and all sorts of other things. I can tell it will take me a while. And then I have to use software to stack the images. Yikes. This shot is one of the stack that I took and I am pretty pleased with it. But, would it have been any less good without the tracker? I have no idea.
