We took a road trip to the mountains yesterday in hopes of shooting the Milky Way over the mountains. Weather report was hopeful so we packed up our ancient RV and headed East. We were most of the way there when we stopped for a 7 mile round trip hike into Mirror Lake. It was beautiful and Black Pearl was a happy camper, but 3 miles in it started snowing and the sky was full of threatening clouds. No way did we want to have to drive back home in our old RV over the mountain passes in the snow so we headed home. This was shot on the hike while the weather still looked hopeful.
