Best on black. We had clear skies again last night so I took ,y new lens and my MSM star tracking device out while I had a chance. The Milky Way has certainly lost some of its brightness but the planets juts to the left of it are fun. The red on the horizon is light pollution not sunset!
Thanks for your visits comments, suggestions, favs
@jyokota sony 12-24 f 2.8 master lens. The MSM (Move shoot move) is a star tracker that isn’t as expensive as previous ones that you attach to the tripod and align with Polaris and then mount your camera and it moves with the stars allowing longer shutter speed without the stars becoming trails so you can use lower ISO
@jgpittenger That sounds like quite the professional setup -- and your photography of night sky is already spectacular so you'll make the most out of such equipment!
It was most interesting to read your explanation of the gear you use to take these stunning images. So is it right to assume that the light pollution shown would be not as noticeable to the human eye? :)
