Those who have been following me for a while may recognize this spot. But the big storms last week changed it hugely. They moved the sand so it is blocking the opening to the ocean and the water has backed up behind it. Nature's wonders! I found it far more photogenic with its wonderful curves before but had to photograph it as the amazing change it is. We have king tides expected next week. Perhaps they will break the sandbar. If not, the Forest Service is considering dynamiting it. The blacked water has flooded the trails and campground.

There will likely be more of this shoreline reshaping in the years to come. I love your golden light with the subtle purples in the sky. A beautiful image!
