Railroad Bridge Shack by jgpittenger

Railroad Bridge Shack

I am a day late in posting because I got home so late yesterday, but I did take a photo for my new commitment to myself. This old shack used to be for the person who would manually open the bridge. Now it just sits there catching one's attention as you drive by. I liked the fog and the sun pushing its way through.

Very atmospheric. Can't say that I'd be clamouring to live there!

Love this shot. You wouldn't want to have one too many when living there would you?

Effective shot with all the structural lines of the bridge and the misty effect.

Nature juxtaposed to man-made is wonderful. I think that Mother Nature will win in the end. Fav!

Great photo - heaps of character. Is the section with the shack on it the part that moves aroudn to open the bridge?

@jeneurell I’ve never seen it open even though we’ve lived here since 1979

The whole scene is quite amazing with the shack on the bridge and the low hanging fog.

Great scene. If you lived up there you would have to watch that first step out the front door.

That shack certainly wouldn't be at the top of my housing list. Great image.

Such a gray day … so much so that it looks B&W. Florence is a great place for capturing a variety of interesting shots. Looking forward to a visit.
