Eagles and Ravens Foraging for Lamb Placentas

We took a day trip to the valley yesterday to see if the bald eagles were there cleaning up the placentas after the lambs were born. We found an abundance of eagles but they were WAY far away so the shot isn't what I would have hoped for. It was a great trip though. Interesting to see the ravens and crows hanging out together. Best on black to see the far away eagles and the sheep. You can see two juvenile eagles as well as two adults.
Thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs. Sorry to be behind on commenting. Hopefully later today.
I actually really like that you can see the whole field. I had no idea that this was something eagles did. How fascinating!

Really interesting! When you say 'the valley', can I ask where this happens, please? It's so interesting.

Very interesting. Seems like good adaptive behavior on their part.

Sometimes nature is so interesting in the way it seeks not to be wasteful. Something I wish we humans could learn.

Wow, learn something new on here all the time. Never heard of that. That would be a site to see, for sure. Still, a great shot across the pasture.

The Trees really and the fog get my attention first. The color of the grass works well in this shot.

This is a fascinating theme...I did laugh at the title thinking you could have been titling a photograph of two football teams, but not sure what the lamb placenta would represent as a metaphor!

A good source of protein, but unusual to see, here anyway.
