Snowy Plover are endangered...or protected...I'm not sure which. Many of the local beaches are closed for dogs from April to September for nesting season. This beach doesn't have the dunes that provide nesting areas so we can bring Black Pearl here. Nonetheless, this morning we saw a pair of them feeding at the edge of the surf.
