Best on black. We are in the midst of an atmospheric river. Between 4-22 inches of rain predicted during next week. I've not been inspired to take out my camera. Instead I've been reediting old photos. Here is one of Crater Lake with beautiful clouds.
Thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs
Staggeringly beautiful image! Just enlarge the image and you will see obvious halos around the fir trees in the foreground and the edges of the mountains. This is because you have lightened those areas or you have used a preset that has caused it. It is very easy to make that mistake, and easy to correct in Photoshop. Certainly this image is worth working on further. Well done!
@marshwader thanks for taking the time to look at it so carefully and give me such spot on feedback. I really appreciate it and will make a new attempt
@marshwader Somehow I lost my raw file and this was based on a small JPEG. My reedit is only barely better. I think there is pixelation as well as too much contrast. Oh well. I got a new computer a month or so ago and I think somehow lost some my original raw versions
@jgpittenger What a shame. The image is certainly worth working on. Sadly we do learn from these mistakes. Are you shooting in RAW and processing with LR and/or PS?
