Bridge Is Up

The weather is miserable for taking photos plus I feel on the verge of a relapse with my flu so I am staying in where it is warm and playing around with editing the heck out of a couple of photos. In the colored version, I added a more interesting sky. I wonder if it looks realistic to have so many clouds with the river water so blue. What do you think?
Thanks so much for all your visits, comments, suggestions, favs
I think it looks like an old print; the effect of a touched up lithograph. I like it

Wonderful architectural detail on the piers. The clouds do not look out of place it looks natural to me - I had not noticed them until I read your description.

I think I would have liked a blue sky with just a few white puffy clouds. But everyone is going to have a different opinion on what they might have done. Lovely capture, Jane.

I really like the B&W better. It lets you concentrate more on the forms

GORGEOUS!

I think you're right: the blue water and cloudy sky does not fit. But what I find more distracting than that, are the ghost lines around the bridge which gives the picture a highly "edited" look. Subject- and composition-wise, though, I think it is a great picture.

@ericdibosco I totally agree. I'm actually not sure what made them happen. I painted the sky closer that that? Still learning a lot in the editing world. I so appreciate you comments...both crtiques and pats on the back! Probably even more the former since it is rare and greatly appreciated when it is thoughtful as your is

@jgpittenger Tx Jane...always scared to step on toes, but I could see from your critique and advice in the past that it would be in order... :)
