Beautiful shot of this fungus. We had some growing in an old tree stump down the road from us, they are stunning to look at. They become enormous if left to their own devices.
@nannapurple I took the original photo on my phone, and, to my eye the colours looked more intense than the original fungus. I haven’t done anything else to change them, so can only conclude that the jpeg processing in the phone boosted the saturation. Having said that, I haven’t looked at the white balance settings, so there may also be an automated “correction” for the cool light conditions at the time. Whatever the cause, I liked the effect.
This is most intriguing! It is almost two photographs in one! The reflection is quite exquisite and much more abstract. The top half of the image is more of a nature record shot. I suppose it depends on what you want to do with the image? Like others who have commented, the colours are beautiful and subtlety saturated. Very pleasing!
