Head Turner

1918 Maxwell one ton truck.

This truck was first used as a garbage truck, and was then used in the Cobble Hill area of Vancouver Island to set telephone poles. The red frame on the rear of the truck was the pole trailer. The setting of poles was done by rope and man power.

The Maxwell Automobile Company was taken over by Walter Chrysler in 1925 and absorbed into the Chrysler Corporation, now Stellantis North America.

The purchase cost of this truck in 1918 was $1,000.
Very nice shot of a great vehicle

$1,000 in 1918 would have been a lot of money! Amazing old truck!
