Fire!! Fire!! by jo365

Fire!! Fire!!

Well today I was sure my photo would be from our trip to Myuna Farm, a cute one with kids doing pony rides and cuddling little bunnies - funny how things can change!!

This morning we headed of while the two little guys practiced their cricket skills at Milo Cricket. As we watched them batting and bowling we were a little annoyed at some men burning off beside the oval and smoking the kids out. We watched them pile up the leaves getting the flames roaring and noted to each other that they were doing it very close to the trees and bushes. While the kids came in for their drinks break the tree and bushes caught on fire and the men responsible panicked and called the fire brigade!! They did manage to get it out with buckets before the fire truck arrived.

The kids were back at their practice but were soon distracted as the trucks and 8 fire fighters arrived - talk about exciting stuff!!

Soon the fire fighters were foaming the smouldering tree and surrounds to be sure they didn't flame up again and the kids were excited at the chance to have a chat with someof the local CFA (Country Fire Authority)!!

they are easy to come by ... just make sure you have a strong 1st para with 'who, what, where' in 36 words. Followed up with 'who, what, where, and when (extended) ranking the information from most important to least!

@jodogz @kjarn @jobesekama @markbuehl - yes thank goodness for the CFA, not looking forward to the fire season as we live near the Black Saturday areas and had to move in and out several times during that season but it is the choice we make to live in such a beautiful, peaceful area. Thanks for the comments, I was going to make a collage of the truck and fireies spraying with the hose but when I put this one up it had an emotional feel so I left it on it's own.
