Carpet Python

David measured him when he came down to the ground, over 2.6m. long. He was on a small tree at the end of veranda. Even though he's completely harmless l definitely wish they wouldn't come visiting !!!!
Oh wow! So fantastically beautiful

That is certainly a wonderfull photograph - Snakes are one thing that make me shudder. Thankfully we don't get that many in the UK

Great photo! I don't mind snakes (except for the vipers) as long as they stay out of the house. We have a large black snake that lives in one of the palm trees outside my workshop. I am happy to have him as we have such a problem with rats here.

I'd have a blue fit if it came anywhere near me. Excellent shot.

@evalieutionspics Occasionally we'll have smaller carpet snakes in the house, often we relocate them.

@fpmtngal he was big and beautiful, my problem even though he's harmless is that often I'll come very close and l get such a fright when l see them at the last moment

Does have lovely markings - and is huge - but even though I know he's harmless, I wouldn't want him visiting unprepared. Super shot of those details.

Awesome capture, but sure wouldn't want to run into it out in the wild, especially, close to the house.
