Anyone for a swim? by joansmor

Anyone for a swim?

@rachelwithey is my get-pushed partner this week and she challenged me to take a motion picture at the ocean. Hope this qualifies. Between the waves and the bird and the rain on the lens.
@rachelwithey Went to the ocean in spite of the weather. Is this what you wanted?

It looks like selective colouring too.

Neat shot, Joan. You even got a seagull!

@debbie3108 Debbie, not selective coloring. Just no light to big up the grey colors of the rocks and sea.

@joansmor Actually I got the sea when capturing the seagull. LOL

Great spot of blue and a lovely scene!

Fantastic shot Joan - you can really see the movement of the waves in this. Like the selective colouring too

This is lovely Joan and you've caught the wave movement beautifully. Love that spot of blue as well

@rachelwithey Thanks for the motivation. It was fun - all my shots from my car because it was misty.

This is wild and raw Joan - however you came to take it, you got a great result. I was a bit puzzled by the comments about SC, then I realised that not everyone had noticed that this is a colour photograph but the colours, except for that blue drum, have been muted by the greyness of the light. This is good.

It looks a little cold!

Beautiful shot

I love the rawness of this. The sea is so often like it

@eyesmile @perspectivesimages @kwind @kbird61 @june I wondered if people thought about this odd woman shooting in the grey misty rain.
May 29th, 2014
@vignouse I wondered about that same thing. But did think I captured what Rachel had asked for. Sunshine today but back to work, dang.

I love this! Definitely has movement in there. The one time I ever went to Maine, I was determined to see the sea even though it was grey, windy and misty. Walked for miles along the coast. This picture takes me right back there (and to the crazy kids with blue lips who were playing in the water undaunted by drizzle, waves and freezing cold water)

Really good Joan great movement throughout the picture. You even managed to capture the fact that it looks cold wet and windy
May 29th, 2014
Really great capture of movement - well done!

Wow, great shot. If it weren't for the blue can (or buoy) it would look B&W!
