Went to Perkins Cove after a lunch of Fried Clams. Liked this boats lined up and mostly lacking in color. So I made a copy desaturated but not completely. Then using a mask brought out the little bits of color. Thought reducing the saturation gave it a more wintery feel.
On a personal note I met with the Gyn Oncologist today and am scheduled for a hysterectomy next week. There is a mass that they will have to biopsy. No lifting anything over 10 pounds for a while - what does my camera weigh?
On a good note I ordered a new laptop which should get here shortly after I get out of the hospital. A toy to play with - think that should give me motivation. The hospital does have wifi so I can post with my tablet. Will try to stay current.
I like this one better than previous shots from the same place and I like that you've thought the whole image through. Why such a long delay in getting the new laptop delivered? I expected you to have it in a couple of days and well before you go into hospital. You need to rattle Mr. Dell's cage!
Good eye. Fantastic patterns. I like the water dimples on one side of the dock and the rather still water on the other side. It's pretty cool how the boats are lined up, too..
@vignouse It's not stock so they have to build it and I don't have time to fiddle with it as only a week left. But that was the first estimate when I ordered so I will see what happens. THey usually push the first estimate out there.
The slight splashes of colour just give the photo that extra little pop. I'm really liking the angles of the boats and how they're lined up. Excellent processing. I hope your surgery goes well and that you recover quickly, I'll say a prayer for you. I also hope you get some positive news with the biopsy...take care Joan and I hope your laptop is in great working order for your recovery time.
I had a hysto back in 1995 for the same reasons. Good luck and take care, do what they say. No lifting......... how heavy is your camera? LOL
This is such a delightful shot. fav
This is lovely, Joan, and *very wintery* looking! My best to you as you undergo surgery. Soon you'll be feeling wonderful again! Many of us have been through this already, and can attest that it's true!
