Mr. Seagull is sitting the the fifth post on this the second day of my 5th year. I would have to join a 12 step program to give up my 365 Project. But I love reading you comments and trying some of your suggestion and stealing some of your ideas. Updated my profile.
Congratulations on year #5!! I like the symbolism of your picture, but oh, yes, do what Richard says and process it in black and white some time. I think it would be a great black and white too. But I also like the fading colors of Autumn in this one- particularly the leaves floating on the water.
I love this shot - like the reflections of the posts and the lines made by the trees in the background - nice soft colors - and of course love the seagull. Congratulations on heading into year 5 - Got tickled with your comment about not giving it up - so agree!
Gorgeous photo and well done on the five years! I can totally see what you mean about this project being an obsession, after almost a year , I feel exactly the same . I love it so much , long may it last .
Joan, you're an inspiration to us all...am long may it continue. The simplicity of this shot is what makes it so effective. Am inclined to agree with R, mono would make this stunningly dramatic shot. Aren't you tempted to give it a whirl?
@vignouse Didn't mean it as a slap. Just didn't want to take praise for something I didn't do. I am struggling with my weight because I have problems eating health fiber rich food. Had to cut back on salads, yogurt, certain vegetables. Good news is a new pill I am taking for another problem has a side affect and now I need to eat my favorite foods - salads and yogurt.
Congratulations on five years, I'm coming up to the end of my second year, I'm quite happy to carry on further, so much to learn and appreciate about photography.. Do like the lone seagull perched there..
ah well joan that is a marvellous achievement! here's looking to another five. i'm also addicted - think it's largely healthy apart from strain on the mouse arm, which is causing me problems at the moment :(
Love the new avatar... you've lost a lot of weight... congratulations!
Wonderful composition and PoV for this great shot.
