The Camera Club headed to the Veterans Cemetery yesterday. I was teaching how there are so many POV to take pictures that change how it is seen. You can take head on, of right from the side or diagonal. You can include the flags our you can spot something special like the red flowers and add a pop of color. The cemetery is perfect for demonstrating the fact that most scenes offer different POV and you have to experiment with them to see which you really like. What we didn't like was how squishy the ground was. We thought sometimes we might sink right in. MUD SEASON,
I think this is fantastic Joan! I really like how some of the headstones are warm coloured and some are cool. I think your composition is perfect placing the red flowers where you have amidst all the repetition. Big fav.
Some years ago we visited the graves of the Fallen in Normandy. This reminds me of how much they moved me...and may such sentiments stay with me for the duration of my life.
Hope they all picked up something from your example - wonderful pov - the cross is so clear in each headstone and the light and colors work together so well.
