Bird food by joansmor

Bird food

My sister planted this tree to attack birds for my mother. It is huge now and in my niece's yard (she owns the family home and I live next door). There is a Pileated Woodpecker who usually shows up but no sign of him this year. Hope is still coming. Don't ask me the name of this tree because even my sister has forgotten.
A lovely tree. Those berries are probably a problem if the birds eat too many of them, ha!

I dabbled around the internet for a bit and think it could possibly be a Hackberry tree but that's not conclusive! If you're passing by a nursery grab a cluster of the berries and a couple leaves and they'll probably be able to tell you what it is. Nice shot- and you may want to change your description to say, "attract" and not "attack"!
