Yesterday afternoon @shesnapped and I went to Prime Hook. It was such fun. But all I have is a 200 lens and because I had been sick very shaky hands even just holding that one. But I have wanted a hawk in my project so I will take what I get. I went to shot this guy sitting in that tree and was trying to get my focus right when he took off so I just held down the shutter. Liked this one best. We saw a King Fisher and she got some great shots. @shesnapped is a bird photographer so she is much fussier about what she posts but I am hoping she will post a few of the shots she got.
@vignouse He was perched an I was trying to figure out my settings because the sun kept coming in and out. I was about to try a sample shot when he took off and I just kept shooting. @shesnapped offered me some advice on shooting birds. I also was feeling a little weak from being sick and just couldn't get a steady shot hardly. My lens was bobbing like a kid on a trampoline. But I kept trying.
@joansmor Given the trying circumstances it turned out not bad at all then! Hope you're feeling better now - it's never fun being I'll but especially so when you're on a trip.
