This is/was the hospital I was born in. They no longer have any overnight rooms. But the emergency room works well. You see I got to test the fall detection on my new Apple watch when I fell on the ice yesterday. Broke the radial head on my elbow. Going to ortho to hopefully get a cast smaller than this temp one. Don't scold me because I have been beating myself up enough. I am leaving the house this morning via the cellar door as less ice along the side of the house.
Oh my I know your ortho dr will take care of your wish for a smaller, more manageable cast. I have noticed that if I hit my watch on something it asks if I’ve fallen, that is a wonderful feature I think. Your birth hospital is a beautiful building and I’m so glad it is still being used.
Such a dangerous time of the year, do you not put salt on the icy paths and pavements? In Germany every homeowner gets a stiff fine if not. Hope your elbow will mend soon 💐

Oh dearJoan, it only takes one bit of a wobble & down you go. Would be a shock....do go steady. Fancy ending up where you came into the worked. I find since I fell downstairs a few years ago I haven’t had the same balance....I know I walk too fast though & don’t look where I am going.
Oh no!!! I am so sorry to hear about your fall and hope all is on the mend as best it can be by now. I have been so nervous walking on the snow and ice this year. I don't want to do anything that will mess up my new knee! Don't be too hard on yourself but take extra precaution- it's ok to pamper yourself a bit!! At least you got a photo opp out of your misfortune!
