Goat Island Lighthouse by joansmor

Goat Island Lighthouse

Okay, you know how I love to brag about how many lighthouses are within driving distance of my house. Well here is another one I have never photographed before. Need to bring my long lens. Had the Sony. How many are near me. Well there are 6 in Greater Portland, One in York, this one in Kennebunk, and probably a few more I am forgetting and that's within an hour's ride. I have been trying to find a place to photograph this one.
Nice scene, I do love a lighthouse! Fav

You must have a rugged coast line Joan.....I like a lighthouse scene.

@happypat Maine’s rocky, forest-lined coast has more shoreline than California, with inlets, bays and coves lapped by frigid Atlantic waters, even in the warmest of summers. Nearly 60 percent of Maine’s coastline is composed of hard rock, with the remaining 40 percent made of soft bluffs and steep slopes of gravel, clay and sand.
