Ice Fishing on Little Ossipee

If you have any questions about this process please Google them. I know what ice fishing looks like and I know they catch fish by poking a hole in the ice but that is about it.

@louannwarren If it is 4 inches thick it is safe to walk on and ice fish on. At 12-15 inches you can drive a medium truck on. You don't see much of that in Southern Maine any more but up North I see pictures of it.

I'm 200 feet away from a lake and fish huts are out there on the ice. fish huts usually have heaters and the guys stay nice and cozy. only a few people drill a hole in the ice and spend some time fishing. we use to wear snowmobile suits which kept us warm.

@bruni It was a fairly warm day as winter days go and now the ice won't hold any fishermen. That kind of winter.
