Took this a couple of weeks ago and edited it this morning. My nephew and I enjoyed my deck for the first time this season. I noticed the nectar in the hummingbird feeder I put out yesterday was significantly lower than when I put it out. I said to my nephew that for it to be down that much, I must have had visitors. Well, soon a little fellow flew over by the feeder, but dashed off when it saw me. I also spotted an oriole in the tree. Both a first for this season. The birds wanted to come down to the feeder, but we made them nervous. As I begin to sit out there more, they will get used to it and come and eat.
I saw a Goldfinch the other day so I've got to get my feeders out- the Hummers usually come around this time too. I saw your email and will get in touch soon! Nice shot!
