Afternoon bee spotting

We've got to look after our bees! I have done this shot before, although this time the lavender in white.

I did a bit of bee spotting today too Jodie. I won a set of macro extension tubes in a camera club raffle and wanted to try them out ( not very successfully) :)

@merrelyn How fantastic winning the extension tubes, I find insect macro so hard, never quite sharp enough. This one I took with my new second hand 24-70, I’m quite fond of it already!

This is such a lovely capture, the pollen on it's legs and the translucency of the wings in the backlit sunlight, in fact the whole bee looks translucent. Lovely.
