Circular Quay Sydney used to be called “Semi Circular Quay”! Which sort of figures!
But in the middle of the 19th century we got a bit lazy and started calling it Circular Quay. Which of course it isn’t!
This used to be the main port in Sydney Harbour. Now it’s the hub for Sydney Harbour ferries. Right in the edge of the CBD.
Cruise ships love docking here!
I played around with this photo using an iOS app called “Circular”. Great fun.
On the top left is the Sydney Harbour Bridge. A cruise ship is stretched out on the left. The Sydney Opera House is bottom right. And the ferries and wharves are in the middle.
I think this qualifies for the “circle” theme!! I hope it does Anne!!
Thanks for the much appreciated comments. i Did have a fun but the editing is a bit random. I doubt if I could produce the same photograph again!!
