The old and the new. by johnfalconer

The old and the new.

The building in the left foreground is the AMP Building, Sydney. It was built in 1962 and for many years was by far the tallest office tower in Sydney. They had a tourist view point on the roof where you could view Sydney harbour, the bridge and the early construction of the opera house.
The new building is towering (no pun intended) over the AMP building. It’s also built on an angle so it looks very different from the one right behind it. Lots of interesting looking buildings in the shot.

Love this. My first job was at Circular Quay, in the Amatil building, which is now gone and being replaced with apartments. Ahh progress......

@melanne
I used to work in the Unilever building. The last building before the now opera house. It is now the “toaster” apartments.
