This is one of the faces carved on a doorway at Arundel Cathedral. Although it is just under 150 years old, it has already eroded quite badly.

Always amazes me the skill people have to make something like this .. the time and weather have added to it and prob air pollution too

@alijchapman It was on a north facing wall as well, so it is probably damp longer than the rest of the cathedral.
