Today was the start of our five day holiday to Scotland. The first place we stopped after we crossed the border was Gretna Green. This statue is opposite the old smithy, where the weddings are still carried out.
@susiemc@joev The nice thing was that two couples were getting married whilst we were there! A couple of people from our coach were actually asked to act as witnesses, so that was a lovely start to their holiday.
@yrhenwr There are some expensive shops just to the right of this statue too - the kind that sell Harris tweed, hand knitted jumpers etc - all very nice things, but out of my price range
