Respect begets Respect

Lurking in alley ways again yesterday. Found this very poignant mural which reads "What we do to the mountain we do to ourselves." The San Francisco Peaks are sacred to the Native Americans.
An entry for the 2nd fortnight Black and White challenge- Urban Areas
very powerful message. Well spotted and captured

Great capture, and (in my mind anyway) a very important point with resonance for a great many things.

A poignant and powerful image. Thank you so much for your kind comment on my collage; it's very much appreciated.

@andywallis Thank you a great deal for the fav. I wish that this was more prominently shown in Flagstaff. Our culture here is a mixed one and the Native American view point isn't all that much in the public eye- shameful and disrespectful.

@paulaw Thank you, I love the alley art here in Flagstaff. Will be following on Flickr -

I like it in Mono. What is the colour version like?

What an interesting picture amongst the wires and cables and boxes and bars. It would make a good poster for more public display I think. Like how you photographed it and processed it.

@pasttheirprime Thank you. The alley art is good but changes now and then.
@paulmann Thanks, I actually shot in B&W - I'll go back and get a color shot and post.
@stephanies I saw the work and decided to keep it B&W as I shot it. The extra alley stuff just added to the roughness of it. I was shooting for the fortnight challenge so B&W was how I was composing. I will post a color version this week.

This is a great find with an interesting POV on the wall. Very effective piece as a B&W. Fav

Wonderful image!

@nanderson Thank you- I agree with the sentiment 100%
@nydelignorsk I really appreciate the Fav. The allies in the older part town are teaming with lots of graffiti, some even gets painted over by the city- shame on them when it helps give character to these areas.
@pickerandagrinner Thank you very much for the fav. I was shooting for the fortnight B&W challenge and got lucky to see this wonderful mural.

@sketch2 I am very grateful for the fav! I saw this mural and the message just resonated inside of me. The Native Americans have a voice we should heed.
