Don't bother to comment. This weeks Dogwood challenge sounded simple but the exercise for me was a step into double guessing myself. The shot on the left was the first edit, lilies laying down. The 2nd shot is a 90 degree turn which is what was asked of us, view the image from a different perspective after having let the image 'rest' for a couple of days. I find that I don't care for either I did attempt to re-edit but adding a vignette didn't work. Converting to B&W fell into the same category. So, basically, I need to either 'bag' this concept or re-visit when I've put some distance between me and the original.
i like the original shot best, might work better with different subject, not all shots could be turned successfully. might not have been a literal instruction lol
@kali66 This learning stuff with photography is, is taxing but so worth all the fuss. I did try other 'perspectives', filters, textures, colors, but I think that your suggestion of a different subject has strong merit.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Thank you, the challenge did seem simple when I first looked at it but when I pulled out my camera, nothing really spoke up. I think that I need to get out of town to try this, again.
@jernst1779 Thank you. It might have been the lens too. I probably went with the wrong one but, live and learn.
I agree with all above... I like the first one but sometimes over thinking can drive you crazy .. I get coming back after stepping away ... maybe it is the subject matter... you are so super talented you will figure this out

@joemuli Thank you, you are so kind.
@ziggy77 Grateful, Calla Lilies are a special favorite of mine. I was a bit surprised to see them in November in the store.
@samae Thank you so very much for your most kind words.
