South to Mexico by joysabin

South to Mexico

The Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument which is on the Mexico/US border is a great place to see the Arizona desert in the spring. The heat hadn't reached the triple digits yet nor had the crowds shown up yet for the Easter Holiday so, we had a most enjoyable and quiet visit.
While waiting for the moon to rise, I looked to my right and south to Mexico. The cactus in the foreground is an Organ Pipe with a Saguaro off to the left a bit. The mountains in the distance are in Mexico.
Love this too - do hope that wall doesn't get built!

@fbailey Thank you so very kindly for the fav. This wall is just a stupid, stupid thing. We had to go through two border checks and we hadn't even left Arizona. I wish that the noise about this would just calm down some.

@overalvandaan There is a gentle grace and beauty in deserts. I am very grateful for the fav.

@shannejw Thank you so kindly for the fav. The cacti are very happy in this corner of Arizona.

@jernst1779 Truly appreciative of the fav. I was amazed that my cell phone did such a great job.

@golftragic Thank you so very much for the fav. The desert in spring is amazing. The blooms were just sprinkled around but the green of the cacti was amazing.

@joysabin I love our semi-arid country and have always found the photos of your deserts/semi-arid country quite beautiful. Love to seem some for myself, but can't see that happening unfortunately.

Gorgeous! Your vacation looks amazing. You could stop every few hundred feet and get a different view and perspective. Arizona is such a beautiful place to visit.

@jenp Thank you so kindly. I am glad that you've found Arizona to be amazing, it is but I need to travel away from the part where I live to appreciate the beauty of this state, at least now and then.
