Returning to normal B&W by joysabin

Returning to normal B&W

Since my photojo is being a bear, I am posting a monotone version of a shot that I took today but also posted as yesterday's shot. ( https://365project.org/joysabin/365 ). Probably cheating but it's Monday and creativity and I aren't really on speaking terms at the moment.
Interesting to compare the two. I think, in this case, I prefer the black and white. There is so much going on with the reeds, the water, the land/trees on the horizon, the sky, and the reflections that the colour is just one component too many.

I prefer the back and white too. Much more detail seems to come out. Very nice.

Lovely to see the comparisons I love the black and white version fav

Looks darned good to me, I actually prefer the b&w version. Forget about 'cheating', as Ethel, @ethelperry said to me, 'your project, your rules'.

beautiful b&w landscape. just to be awkward, i prefer the clouds in the b&w, and the water in the colour ...

I like this version more, it's moodier and more dramatic

A wonderful b&w capture.

agree, the b/w is better in this case
hope you feel your normal self again soon

I'm with the b&w on this one also....you have such good contrast here.

Sometimes it's fun to compare the two. Looks good in black and white! (The creativity will return- you just have to ride it out)

Sorry about your photojo. I think I like the b&w better.

@gardencat I have always had an affinity to B&W. I started in film there so old habits die hard. I agree with you a great deal, detail is better with the B&W.

@dfarrington I agree, I had my camera set to B&W but shot raw so I thought I should try both.

@onewing Thank you so very kindly for the fav and your patience with my tardy response.

@golftragic Thank you so much. I truly appreciate the project 'rule' reminder. Art is an open ended en devour, isn't it?

@pistache Thank you a great deal for the fav. Maybe color splash would work, hadn't thought of that.

@fbailey I agree, special spot in my heart for B&W, I have always felt that there is more emotion potential in monotone. Most grateful for the fav, too.

@haskar Thank you so very kindly for the fav and your patience with my slowness in responding.

@ninaganci Thank you so kindly. Creative mojo can be fleeting and deep, I just wish I could figure it out better :):)

@angelikavr Thank you so very much.

@granagringa Very grateful, thank you. B&W is close to my heart.

@olivetreeann The bucking horse of creativity has its moments of calmness, its my patience that can be the real bugger. :):)

@jernst1779 Very appreciative for the fav. I've started watching/reading photo sites, (fstoppers, practical photography, petalpixel etc) and they've helped jump start things again.
