Dog water by joysabin

Dog water

Winter has arrived. I forgot to take the dog's water in last night and this is the result, ice. As this lay in the kitchen sink just melting I just had to take a picture. My pup does prefer to drink 'outside' water so, I will probably be 'refreshing' her dish before she takes a drink a lot this season.

This is a SOOCS (straight out of cell shot) so the background is what it is. I also will tag this for this week's Dogwood challenge, current events. It is going to be a cold week and we are on taps to get 30+ inches of snow starting Thursday. So my current event is snow and cold.
Beautiful drop. Yes cold!

Great dogwood interpretation joy and a fab droplet

Lovely shot - 30 inches? The UK grinds to a standstill with just 3 inches!

Almost 3 feet of snow? Yikes! I hope it doesn't come our way! Looks like you might need a second water dish- one to freeze overnight and the other to replace it while it's defrosting! Good shot.

@sdutoit Thank you, I have a slow lazy week so staying inside until the snow stops is just fine with me.

@ziggy77 Thank you so much for the fav. I'm amazed that the bowl hasn't cracked yet.

@30pics4jackiesdiamond We are seriously thinking about it after my sons graduate next spring. Ice is my biggest fear. I slid on today's walk but didn't go down- whew, a close one.

@fbailey There should be a law against such totals but, no one ever listens to me. Flagstaff is used to this. When I lived in Pennsylvania, mention of the word snow and all stores were cleaned out of milk, bread and TP. Here, we just deal and go on. I am very grateful for the fav.

@olivetreeann I remembered tonight to bring it in, only a modest amount of ice. Maybe the city will actually plow this time.

@mzzhope Maui, Maui, that's my mantra.

@golftragic My dog loves snow, if we leave and go lower and warmer, she will probably need therapy :):)

@photographycrazy The snow blower/thrower is all gassed up, there is extra chocolate, so we might just make it.

@joysabin I simply cannot imagine living with snow and ice and freezing temperatures!! Nowhere in Oz has that kind of climate.

@fbailey in Hampshire 3cm of snow stops the motorways!!!

@30pics4jackiesdiamond It does in Kent too, I just didn't want to make us Brits look quite as wimpish as we are!!
