No longer used

This the abandoned Wauneta Trading Post along Hwy 89 which goes through the Dine` (Navajo) nation and points north. I saw this when I drove past on the way to Page for the balloon regatta last month. I wanted to learn more since it seems to have been used fairly recently. I wasn't able to find to much. I'm not giving up, interest has everything, doesn't it.

The fish eye encircling this seems to just encourage even more the desire to look down along that long wooden rail.

@gardencat Thank you and I think that it is a hitching rail/post. It would have been cool to have horse tied up but no luck.
