FOR No. 18 - still life with diagonals and refraction

I am not sure if refraction is a compositional line element or not but I think it could be.
You're doing very well with this challenge, must confess my heart's not in it this year, too much else going on.

@golftragic I am trying to learn some of the 'rules' of art but of course I'll break or forget them. Thank you so much for the fav. I hope your extra's let you slow down again soon.

@bubblequeen Early morning sitting on the cold cement of my patio trying to avoid dog licks.

This is why we can find artists' sketches in museums, even if the work isn't "finished" it's still interesting and shows us a but of the magic behind the curtain

I don't think refraction is considered a design element BUT it's so well blended into the lines of your glass votives it has become one. Good shot!

@dustyloup Thank you a great deal, all parts of the process can be considered art but to see the behind is cool.

@sdutoit Most grateful for the fav, thank you.

@pdulis Thank you so much, especially for the fav.

@jernst1779 Thank you so very much for the fav. Those are little square vases, a goodwill find.

@haskar Thank you so much, playing around with non-traditional still life ideas has been a great deal of fun.

@olivetreeann It sorta felt okay but I agree that it is definitely not a standard design element. Push the envelope and have fun.
