Well, this certainly made the trek worthwhile. I looked at the exif info and really surprised to see what an open aperture you had...where do you focus when you're doing a scene like this???
Superlative. Easy fav! Have you considered making a couple of shots severely underexposing one, and then layering them so to extract more detail from the moon?
@santina These ponds are a reclaimed water project. They attract many different birds. It is just a very peaceful place to visit.
@dustyloup Thank you so much. I agree cell cameras are better with more light. My moto 4 does have a night mode but it missed the mark.
@jernst1779 Truly appreciate the fav. Focusing on the trees before it got dark helped. I brought a kindle book to read while I waited.
@granagringa The extra steps let me take the next day off from walking. I recently purchased a sigma 18-300mm lens from Ebay. It is a f3.5 to 6.5. I just have a manual adapter (Sigma to Sony E) so the EXIF data isn't completely true. I know I used f3.5 @ 2 seconds with ISO100. I like focusing manual most of the time and have set my Sony A6000 with both the high peaking level and the manual focus assist function which I love. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VemUev-CIpM ).
@francoise It was so peaceful out there, the geese and their goslings were tolerant of me. I am very grateful of the fav, thank you
@bubblequeen Thank you so much. Well worth the walk.
@golftragic You are so kind, very thankful for the fav. We have just a few bodies of water around so glad that I found these last year.
@jyokota Truly honored by the fav. It was a nice warm evening to be out there.
@domenicododaro How kind of you, thank you friend. I guess that you saw the moon composite too. I would love to try and now that the temperatures are warmer I can try. Are you going to try as well?
@pistache Thank you so much. The moon was so bright and I wish I had taken a few shots with a filter to get some detail in the moon.
