The wait by joysabin

The wait

Los Angeles Harbor and Port. The white dots in the water are container ships waiting for approval to enter the harbor and be unloaded. My sister tells me that there is currently a labor shortage of longshoreman that do the work. She also tells me prior to the pandemic, ships would wait beyond the harbor for the fuel costs to drop before they would request entry.

It is a fascinating place to see but from a distance. The area in the foreground is San Pedro.
A unique view of the City of Angels, very nice!

@aikiuser @marlboromaam @kvphoto Thank you so much. I think that the combined ports (LA and Long Beach) take up about 7500 acres. It is also where a great many cruise ships arrive and depart in non-pandemic times.

I just read that there may be gas shortages this summer due to the lack of truck drivers. Quite a view of the port and bay.
