Roses by joysabin

Roses

For my 7th year on 365, I am going to concentrate each month on a style or technique. The month of October I am going to focus on movement in various ways.

My better half gave me roses of the other day because I was having a not so good day. They truly helped lift my spirits. Today I had decided to work on projects throughout my 7th year as well. I place the roses on a small battery powered rotating stand and use a slow shutter speed to capture some movement.

This is also for week 40 for the weekly challenge which topic/style/technique was backlight.
Very cool effect! I look forward to your images.

What an interesting project...and a great way to do it. Love the ethereal quality here...and, ok, how did you eliminate all background?

First of all congratulations on entering year #7! It sounds like this month is going to look really good on your calendar when it's done. Good start!

@granagringa I set my A6000 on -5 exposure compensation value and used a polarizer filter. The pic info says it was f36. Huge question there, this is the kit lens and I didn't know that it had went to that far😁.

@haskar @pdulis @graham_ae @framelight_byasli @samae @redy4et

I am very grateful for all of your kind and supportive comments. I was really going for a more focused hi-key but liked the way things just went blurry instead.
