My border collie has no sheep to herd so she tries to herd me when we are playing chase the ball and return. I am realizing that to break her of nipping at my legs as she drops the ball is probably futile but, she and I will continue to work on drop, sit and wait....
Now that I am finished with FOR, I can catch up with 52 weekly challenge, this is for week 9, pet photography.
Our dog is a cross between border collie and cattle dog. When playing catch, she will drop it at my feet - when she is ready. But if I bend down too soon while she is still standing over it, she will bound straight up into the air in excitement - and right into my forehead. OoOOCH! She has taught ME to wait. Her eyes are very similar to your pups. They stare right through you!
Thank you all so very much. She was just moving lickity-split and I felt lucky that I even got a few in focus shots. Gotta love cell phones for convenience. We should have named her 'Lightening', I think.
Love the close up of her eye so intently looking at you! I think all those herding and chasing breeds feel the same way about playing with a ball or toy- but they can learn. Great shot!
