Better planning this time. I drove the opposite way in Arizona (west) for a dog run this morning. I found a few things along the old Rt 66 to 'play' with. This is a section of the old road between Ashfork and Seligman that is no longer used as a newer old road now exists. It is a very pleasant drive along this road and I get to avoid I40 for a bit.
@pistache Thank you very kindly for the fav. I wonder if the IR sensor creates/records flares differently than a standard DSLR sensor? The bleakness of the area is very soothing.
@graemestevens Thank you a great deal for the fav. I like the very old no longer used bits of Rt 66.
@shesnapped Thank you so kindly for the fav. This area of Arizona is beautiful in its starkness.
@cjphoto Thank you so much, the old rt66 from Kingman to just south of Ashfork is a great drive, I most definitely recommend it. Stop at the Snow Cap restaurant in Seligman, Home of Historic Rt 66.

@haskar Thank you a great deal, and thank goodness for Photoshop and the NIK collection.
@megpicatilly Thank you, I wish I knew how to figure out the way a flare will 'generate' itself.
@s4sayer Very grateful for the fav, thank you kindly. The pole bothered me when I composed but feel lucky that the flare 'landed' as it did.
@overalvandaan Thank you a great deal, this road has disappeared in so many places. I am glad that there is still a few old spots left.
