Just the one of these diving ducks turned up on Hampshire's River Arle last autumn.
Opinions differ as to what it is from Scaup to Little Grebe or even a hybrid. Now that I've taken a better picture, it's head tuft is showing clearly, so I guess it's a juvenile or female Tufted Duck. Can anyone do a better identification?
