A Chunk of Concrete

Macro HDR
I have photographed this chunk of concrete probably 20 times since I first noticed it back before I went on vacation in early October 2014. I remember being tripped out that it remained in the same place, untouched, for the 3 weeks that I was on the East Coast. In actuality, now, it has remained in the same place, atop a retaining wall, adjacent to a parking lot, from then until now. I always found other things to use as my photos of the days- I always assumed this chunk of concrete would still be there, next time. And it has been.
This is the first time that I have shot it in HDR, however.
Why shoot a macro HDR shot of a chunk of concrete?
Why, indeed....

HDR is the perfect choice for this. I worked at the same high school for 15 years. During the first year, I noticed a large paperclip on the outside concrete stairs. It eventually began to rust. When I left, a paperclip shaped rust mark still remained.

@cejaanderson I am a little disappointed at the lack of attention this got; I think this is some of my finest work.
Love your story.
Thanks for your comments!

Well, I think the HDR brought out the texture of the concrete very well, I can almost feel it.
