Getting this kid to eat with utensils, drink from a water cup and, well, practically drive a car has thus far been a cake-walk. So how about tooth brushing? I’m going to say it’s going pretty well overall, although he’s certainly not sure of the WHY of it all. Nor should he be, because he’s sixteen months old. But I have to say he understands it’s something we have to do and as you can see here, he’s eager to give it a go himself. Oh, a quick note about framing: when I was a filmmaker, I would use this kind of “dirty frame” all the time, with the foreground muddied by the back of a character’s head. I did it so often that a fellow filmmaker once called it the “Santo shot.” Perhaps I overused it, but seeing it here made me feel like I was on brand.
