Christmas came early at Casa de Santo-Muñoz in the form of this rideable Lightning McQueen car that we found at a local thrift shop. In impeccable condition and catering to almost every of Diego’s favorite things - red, a car, a steering wheel with blinking lights that makes insane noises - there was no way we were getting out of that store without this thing in hand. What’s even funnier was that he would not even let us put it in the car before him! He wailed when we tried to put it in the back and thus he had to ride with Lightning beside him until such time as we could distract him with the animals at Pet Smart. Upon our return home, however, Diego reignited his passion for this new plaything, zooming around all parts of the house and insisting - as he does with all his riding toys - that we let him ride it on the couch. We’re nothing if not unconventional in this house.
