I need to begin my morning routine earlier than I have been due to this crazy construction going on behind our house which has completely captivated Diego. On the plus side, the presence of cement trucks, cranes, an excavator and multiple dump trucks had made it rather easy to get him out of the house. On the minus side, it’s frequently very chilly out and his obsession with these machines results in us freezing as well as being late! Still, it’s all worth it to see him light up with excitement as he does - and to get nice shots like this one. It’s also just nice to be outside, even if it is damn cold. The brief walks around the construction site give us a moment to breathe and get centered before the rush of daily life overtakes us.
