This is rather poorly composed in my anxiety to catch the robin before the dogs scared him off - I did better later but he wasn't sitting quite so nicely. I only noticed when I uploaded quite how much variety there is in the vegetation. As you can probably see from the path it's chalky ground so you get a different range of plants to elsewhere. It should be teeming with butterflies but too blooming cold! Anyway it will mean @lucypics and I will have to meet again when it's warmer.
Unfortunately, there were some bangs (rabbit shooting maybe) and Monty scarpered - demonstrating nicely my description of his anxiety issues. He then cost me an arm and a leg when an abscess on his tail burst this evening... But he's worth it - I think.
I also had a long, very lovely and overdue lunch with old friends and won't leave it as long until the next.
This has come out beautifully. Our walk took a turn for the worse as we continued along! Poor Monty, he does seem to have rotten luck! Fav for this shot, although. Was looking forward to,the grass with blurry pheasant behind!
I think this is incredibly charming! In fact, I love it! Beautiful countryside! Poor Monty...hope he heals up quickly. I have a feeling he's worth every bit of those outrageous vet bills.
