As the Bumps are over for another year and the rowing 'eights' have returned to boathouses I took Monty to the river. He was reluctant to get started but I distracted him with eight baby swans instead. He was idly standing on a fishing platform further downstream and didn't notice Mr swan approaching till he got his tail pecked!
In better news I saw a big barn owl flying to his nesting box.
